We are gearing up for our Spring Opening Friday May 4th! We will be open our normal summer hours. Join us for our first weekend open and taste our debut wines: Brianna and Petite Amie. We have had both of these semi-sweet white wines in the past, but they were always on limited release. We will also have FREE wine tasting our opening weekend.
Join us May 12th on Mother’s day weekend for our “Hoarfrost Farewell Celebration.” This celebration will include an afternoon/evening of Live entertainment, door prizes, wagon rides through the vineyard, winery tours and free wine tasting. Join us for the evening for light Hors d’ Oeuvres. (shish kebab and artisan breads available for cost, we suggest reserving your spot by calling or emailing ahead for pre-reservation of food)

Working On Wine!

January 23, 2012

The winter this year has been far from average. With January temperatures in the mid 50’s we were able to get a jump start on some of our winter pruning. The vines pulled through some of the earlier frost we encountered in the fall growing season.

The winery is still in full swing. We are still cold stabilizing certain vatieties, getting a grip on what we want to do for filitering, and also getting ready to barrel our 2011 reds.

We are still closed untill May 1st, but if anyone would like to stop and pick up wine, or schedual a private event, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you again for all of your support, and we hope to see everyone this spring!

Year End.

Red Wine

November 17, 2011

Today in the winery we are racking our 2010 reserve reds. The Marquette has a nice suttle spice and dark fruit aroma, and the Frontenac is starting to get a rich chocolate/coffe note. We have started looking for a bigger press for next season. So far, only a few leads. We would like to find a nice used willmes press.

The winery has been busy on the weekends. We have also had a lot of visitors stopping by this week picking up wine for the holliday weekend. We hope to see everyone soon, and happy thanksgiving!

Fall hours

October 28, 2011

We will be open Saturday’s through new years. Any other times can be made by appointment. Please contact [email protected] to set up an appointment.

Thank you!

September

September 15, 2011

Harvest has finally started. We had a bit of a scare last night with some frost issues. Grape vines do not like it when the temp drops below 30. So far it looks like minor foliage damage, but we will have to wait a few more hours to see the full effect of the frost. Our wine and dines went well this summer, and we thank everyone who participated. Harvest has been going well. we have picked all of the Brianna variety, along with 90% of our Marquette. The winery has been undergoing some changes as well.
Keep watching for more updates, and we hope to see you soon!
