Just a reminder to everyone who enjoys visiting Hinterland. We are open weekends all winter long, and continue our live music on friday nights.
We have had an amazing season at Hinterland. So amazing that we are in the beginning stages of a brand new entertainment facility. All of our clients are raving for a dance floor so they can further enjoy their favorite local musicians. The wine stock is running a bit low, but we have plenty of new product coming down the line for 2015.
This was our first season using or new grape harvesting machine. The stress ran a bit high the first morning, but shortly after we had realized the necessity of our new machine.
The vineyard will be ten years old this spring. Wow has our hobby changed since 2005. It seems like yesterday when my best high school friend and I were pounding in all of the trellis poles. We had quite the laugh when the local community dubbed all those poles the “stick farm”. Since then we have added on to the winery twice, and we have also added a small climate controlled warehouse.
We have had a good run with our wine in competitions around the nation. People form around the state and midwest have sent our wine all over the nation and into parts of Europe to their family and friends. It is a true blessing to have so many people enjoy our products.
Speaking of products, without intent we also opened a restaurant/pub on site. What was a publicity stunt to keep clients coming through the doors in the off season has become a local hot spot, and destination for people across the state.
We absolutely cannot thank everyone enough. We hope to see everyone over the winter season. Happy New Year everyone!
